Well kept park. Plenty of space to enjoy.
Love it here! We have been coming for 4 years now.
And the host , Paul, was terrific. Really nice and helpful guy.
Several picnic areas. A playground for the little ones. A nice little beach area to frolic around in. Cool fishing areas. Lots of boating on the lake. Only $5 to enter.
Went to pick up my 2010 Coachman Catalina today from.the storage area. Paid storage fees and went to get it. My camper was not there. Went to the camp host to report it stolen. Host called Ga Power Rep host shows up refunds camper storage fee. Then proceeds to tell me I'm sure you have insurance. And he has no explanation of where my camper is. Goes into a spill about how they only charge $1 a day for storage and if the had to build a chain link fence around the storage area it would be $15 a day. ANYONE WHO CAMPS THERE KNOWS THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY IN AND OUT OF THE CAMPGROUND. ONLY NEEDS TO HAVE A GATE. You can not pull a 28 ft camper through the woods. I would gladly give my $140 storage fees back to Ga Power for my $21,000 camper. PLEASE DON'T STORE YOUR CAMPER HERE. THANK GA POWER.
I spoke with her husband when my packages arrived & he accused me of being homeless (I'm not, but even if I was, why does it matter? If you're being paid the full amount & I'm causing no problems then I see no issue) since I "used the address here". I told him that I got his wife's permission & he said that I could in fact use the address, but "I've never seen anything like it!" is what he said more than once.
I wish I didn't spend any of my money here. I had planned on staying a full week, but now I will be going to another campground & spending my hard earned money somewhere that the hosts have some kind of respect & manners toward their guests. It's an ok place but tons of ants & mosquitoes.
He asked if I'd be leaving tomorrow (more like implying that I should leave & making me feel very uncomfortable & unwelcome) & I told him "sure if ya want me to then no worries I'm gone."
This is a great campground, especially if you have a boat and/or kids. There's a nice beach area for the kids, although the playground area could be a little better.
The boat ramp is easily accessible and the ramp itself is in good condition. The only reason for a 4 star is because they closed down the "primitive" tent sites down which are right on the lake. Hopefully these site will re-open in the near future.
I won't ever be returning & neither will any of my friends or relatives, I'll be sure to let them all know
I travel for my job & my home is South Florida, which I cannot return to due to hurricane Irma & I needed something shipped to me. I had a couple packages sent to me with the camp host's wife's permission.
