Really nice place with pools and playgrounds. Only a handful of tent sites. This is more of an RV park than a campsite with trails. I like how we were right on the water with one of the playgrounds just a stones throw away. The bathrooms are really nice and the showers are too. As for the campsite, everything is up this hill or that hill to get to anything. Water and electricity is available at each site.
We have evacuated to the Greensboro KOA for two hurricanes from Savannah. Both times the management staff and residents of the KOA we're all extremely nice and helpful and friendly. We stayed in one of their tent spots that were right up next to the lake which had an absolutely gorgeous for View. They have two pools so that the kids can swim and have Adult Swim's only. They have lots of activities for adults and children that keep the kids busy with an absolutely wonderful activities director who works to make sure that you are never bored even when the power is out. We stayed in a tent for Hurricane Irma and were known as the tent campers and when the weather got extremely bad one night they even accommodated us with a cabin which was more than we ever expected. I cannot say more nice things about this campground and their management. I think that the only downfall is when the power went out so did the water but I know in that area the power doesn't really go off that much and it was just because of such a bad storm. Our family will be back and this will become one of our favorite campgrounds ever!
Made a reservation two weeks in advance for a lake front site. We came in and some one was in the spot we reserved. We were given a new spot that was a good 10 minute walk from the lake and that was impossible to level the RV on. The whole situation was handled very poorly, and as we were checking another family was dealing with the same thing.
We were not happy about our experience. I called to reserve at 3:30. When we arrived at 5:30, the office was closed and there was no envelope for us at the late registration box. I called the number posted and two people came to the office, found our reservation and guided us to the site. The site was small and tightly packed into a group of seasonal campers. We did not receive any information regarding washrooms or amenities - we never did use a washroom,. The site was not level. The wifi was not strong enough for email. There was a large party going on 5 feet from our window. We will not return.
We had a great experience here. The lake is beautiful and the views are spectacular. There are plenty of things for the kids to do as well as the adults. The office staff was super friendly and the bathrooms are SPECTACULAR! We have camped and used many bath houses and these were by far the best. We will definitely return.
